AN INDUSTRY AWARD
November 4, 2014
At its annual banquet held on October 29, the Canadian Wind Energy Association presented the 2014 Wind Energy Project of the Year Award to the Montérégie Wind Farm, thereby recognizing Kruger Energy’s outstanding contribution to the Canadian wind energy industry.
First awarded in 2013, the Wind Energy Project of the Year Award highlights the exceptional commitment to responsible and sustainable development at every stage of wind farm project.
With a capacity of 100 MW, the wind farm includes 44 wind turbines erected in five Montérégie municipalities: Mercier, Saint-Constant, Saint-Isidore, Saint-Michel and Saint-Rémi. By promoting a culture of social acceptability based on consultation, consensus building and transparency with the local community, Kruger Energy has positively integrated Montérégie’s vibrant agricultural environment.
